Transfer Support

  • Students pursuing a career in athletic training must successfully complete a specific program of study leading to a Master of Science degree in Athletic Training and pass the Board of Certification (BOC) for the Athletic Trainer exam.Ìý

  • College and university master's degree programs vary in regards to the method of delivery (3+2 or traditional master's degree program), admission requirements, the preferred undergraduate degree, and specific prerequisite courses.  It is important to select an appropriate undergraduate program as soon as possible once choosing to pursue a career in Athletic Training.Ìý

  • With BOC certification, and state specific licensure, positions dealing with athlete injury care can be obtained in high schools, colleges & universities, professional sports, and the performing arts; physician offices and clinical settings & hospitals; progressive corporations and industries; the military and public safety; and, various entrepreneurial endeavors.Ìý

ISBµç×Ó'sÌýAthletic TrainingÌýcurriculum is designed to provide the general education requirement and coreÌýAthletic TrainingÌýcourses for students who plan to transfer to a four-year college or university to complete a Master's degree inÌýAthletic TrainingÌýor related field. Electives must meet the requirements of your transferring institution. Students should coordinate with their advisor for transfer requirements.
