Kansas Promise Act

Select ISBµç×Ó career and technical education programs will be available at no cost to eligible students beginning in the fall of 2021, thanks to a new scholarship program designed to increase Kansans’ access to community colleges and technical schools.

Apply for Promise Act Scholarship

To apply for the 24-25Ìýacademic year, an isÌýavailable on the Kansas Board of Regents webpage. Also located on there isÌýtheÌýKansas Promise Scholarship Act Information document. This document lists the eligibility criteria of the Kansas Promise Scholarship along with the terms and conditions of the service component.Ìý

Application Deadline for FallÌý2024Ìýawards:Ìý*The application to be considered eligible for the Fall 2024 semester has closed due to funds being exhausted. The Spring 2025 application is open until further notice.*Ìý

  • Students must apply on or before NovemberÌý1, 2024Ìýto be considered for a FallÌý2024Ìýaward.
  • Students must subsequently sign theirÌýpromissory note by DecemberÌý7, 2024Ìýto receive a FallÌýaward.

Application Deadline for Spring 2025Ìýawards:ÌýAprilÌý1, 2025Ìý(application could close earlier if funds are exhausted before this date).

  • Students must apply on or before AprilÌý1, 2025Ìýto be considered for a Spring 2025Ìýaward.
  • Students must subsequently sign their promissory note by May 7,2025Ìýto receive a SpringÌýaward.

Application Deadline for Summer 2025Ìýawards: June 1, 2025 (application could close earlier if funds are exhausted before this date).

  • Students must apply on or before June 1, 2025Ìýto be considered for a Summer 2025Ìýaward.
  • Students must subsequently sign their promissory note by July 7, 2025Ìýto receive a SummerÌýaward.Ìý

About the Kansas Promise Act

The was passed by the Kansas Legislature and signed by Governor Laura Kelly. When other scholarships and grants are not sufficient to cover a student’s tuition and fees, the Kansas Promise Act will make up the difference.
